What Does a Care Worker Do?

As a Community Care Worker, you’ll provide essential support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care – Assisting with washing, dressing, and hygiene needs.
  • Meal preparation – Cooking nutritious meals and ensuring clients eat well.
  • Medication support – Prompting or assisting with medication.
  • Household tasks – Helping with cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Companionship – Offering emotional support and social interaction.
  • Community activities – Assisting clients in getting out and about safely.

 

Who We’re Looking For

To join our team, you should have:
At least 6 months of experience supporting adults in social care.
A caring and compassionate nature with a commitment to high-quality care.
Good spoken English and communication skills.
The right to work in the UK.
A full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential for most roles).
Two references (one must be from the care sector).

We currently have openings in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, and surrounding areas including Hartshill, Penkull, Trentham, Barlaston, Longton, Meir, Trent Vale, and Hanford.
